  • I'm looking at the "optimization 2" graph. Looks like with optimization it's slower, right? Fixed (The results were flipped)
  • Can you list the httperf workload file, or spell out which fraction of the requests actually hit Rails as opposed to being served statically by apache? We added the httperf workload to our Wiki

Guys, this analysis is really, really good. Excellent work. It's particularly interesting to see how the extra servers don't buy you much before the database optimization, but after the optimizations the performance scales nearly linearly with the number of app servers. Nice.
